Child Protection Unit

The Child Protection Unit (CPU) was set up in 2006 at Yorkhill Hospital, Glasgow to help health staff when they have concerns about a child’s safety (in Scotland a child is 0-16 years old).

The Child Protection Unit (CPU) is there to protect children from abuse and neglect. Every 3 years CPU makes plans to decide their priorities for the Unit and staff training and believes that young people should be involved in these planning decisions that affect them and want to hear your thoughts on their future plans.
